I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to Jamaican beef patties, but that’s because I’ve earned it. Over my high school career and college, I’ve consumed 1000’s of these. Bear with me if you don’t see your fav on this list, but check this out and if you see some new gems, give em a try.

*Disclaimer* – this post is all about the taste and quality of the patties, not the service, that’s a whole other story, and I’m not going there. Most of these places don’t do that well in that department, so you need to understand, this is all about the product.

5.George’s Tastee Patties & Take Out

This one is in Richmond Hill – but it just closed, so sad, but it was legit. Large bakery in the back and they did wholesale.

4. Grace’s Patty World

11 Westmore Dr, Etobicoke, ON M9V 1C3

Check them out in Rexdale, you get 3 patties for $5, which is a good deal. Little tight and small in there, but pretty good. Go for jerk chicken too.

3. Tinnels

53 Kennedy Rd N, Brampton, ON L6V 1X6

I’m pretty sure they supply the Ackee Tree in Humber College, which is a great Jamaican food restaurant in side the college, and I’ve eaten tons of these. I like them a lot, and they’re in Bramtpon if you want the wholesale hookup.

2. Patty World

86 Guided Ct, Etobicoke, ON M9V 4K6

Literally a hole in the wall, you order through a hole…in a wall. The signs are all bristol board with marker, and home office printouts of plates and food from a blackberry. You know it’s gotta be good when the signage is homemade, it really shows the priorities of the business, which is food, not signage.

1. Ralphs Retail and Take Out

6680 Finch Avenue W., Etobicoke, ON M9W 6C2

This place is the best, hands down, go get a dozen and eat them in your car while stuck on traffic on a major 4 series highway in Toronto, and you are living the dream. You can get all kinds of Jamaican grocery items too, like sauces, spice blends and wholesale drinks. I highly recommend it, I think there is another location in Mississauga.
